Celebrations
I can finally let you in on the good news! I've been keeping this to myself for months until it was official!
I’m delighted to share the news that I've been selected from an international competition, to create a public sculpture in conjunction with the Rejuvenation of Dundalk Town Centre, Co Louth.
The sculpture will be installed at St. Nicholas Plaza. The sculpture is designed to capture the beauty and serenity of 2 swans. It will symbolise the transformation of the area into a place of beauty, calm and community connection.
The commission was awarded by Louth County Council and represents a significant investment to improve the heart of the town center, stretching from the Market Square o the junction of Bridge Street/ John Street and the junction of Linenhall Street.
The rejuvenation project is co-funded by the Irish Govenment and by the European Regional Development Fund.
The rejuvenation of the street commenced early January 2019 and is due to be completed before December 2019. The installation of the sculpture will take place in Autumn 2019.
Exciting times!
